4’33” x X + ? – Otopark, 12.12.2015 13:00-15:00
14. İstanbul Bienali kapsamında sergilenen ”Bir Ritim Mekânı – Otopark”ın ardından mekân dönüşmeye devam ediyor. Bina yıkımının daha ileri bir tarihe ertelendiğini öğrendikten bina sahipleri ile görüştük, anlaştık ve mekânın kepenklerini tekrar açtık. İki hafta evvel 11 adet hoparlörden oluşan çok kanallı ses sistemi söküldü ve eklenmiş seslerin kaldırılması tamamlandı. Geri kalan her şey yerli yerinde, bir de mutfakçık eklendi.

Üç hafta önce cumartesi, Tolgahan Çoğulu mikrotonal gitarı ile geldi, Okan Kaya ona cep klarinetiyle katıldı. İki hafta önce cumartesi ise Okan Kaya ile Barış Ertürk mekanı çınlattı. Geçen hafta Gökhan Deneç 4 hoparlörü mekana ses astı ve Cevdet Erek asma davuluyla gezdi.

Bu cumartesi öğlen 1’den 3 civarına kadar peş peşe John Cage’in 4’33”’ünü icra etmeye karar verdik.
Eseri icra etmek isteyen aşağıda yorumlara “ben/biz” yazabilir, program dolu olmaz ise size ulaşırız.

Katılım herkese açık ve ücretsizdir. Kedi – köpek giriş serbesttir. Mekânda ısıtma sistemi mevcut değildir, bayağı soğuk oluyor. Çay-kahve var, sahlep de olmak üzere.

The space continues to evolve after “A Room of Rhythms – Otopark”, exhibited as part of the 14th Istanbul Biennial. As the destruction of the building has been postponed, the space is now open to visitors again; last week, the 11 loudspeakers of the multi-channel sound system was deinstalled and the removal of the added sounds was thus completed.

Two weeks ago on Saturday, Tolgahan Çoğulu came with his microtonal guitar, Okan Kaya participated with his pocket clarinet. Last Saturday, the space was resonated by Okan Kaya and Barış Ertürk. Last week Gökhan Deneç tried to suspend sound in the space and Cevdet Erek tried to interrupt the silence with sound and fill the emptiness with a davul.

This Saturday we decided to perform John Cage’s 4’33” one after the other from 1pm to 3 pm. If there is any of you who’d like to join in as a performer, just write “I/me” on the comments. We’ll contact you if the line-up is not full.

The event is free and open to everyone. Cats and dogs are allowed. There is no heating in the space -it’s quite cold here!
